Janet Elizabeth "Shorty" (Roy) Heintz, 71, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully in her home on September 12, 2017. Born on January 17, 1946 in Dedham, MA; she was the daughter of George and Anna (Bauer) Roy. She married the love of her life, David E. Heintz on May 11, 1968 in Syracuse, NY.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Janet was a graduate of Central City Business Institute, Syracuse, NY. She was a member of the RedTail Golf Club; and former employee of Carrier Corporation, where she was employed for many years.

Janet Elizabeth "Shorty" (Roy) Heintz, 71, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully in her home on September 12, 2017. Born on January 17, 1946 in Dedham, MA; she was the daughter of George and Anna (Bauer) Roy. She married the love of her life, David E. Heintz on May 11, 1968 in Syracuse, NY.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Janet was a graduate of Central City Business Institute, Syracuse, NY. She was a member of the RedTail Golf Club; and former employee of Carrier Corporation, where she was employed for many years.
An avid golfer, Janet enjoyed giving the world's best hugs, gardening and crocheting. For all of her nieces, nephews and extended family, she would provide the "Aunt Jan, Welcome to the Family Gift" which included one of her crocheted blankets and a teddy bear.
An awesome DIY partner to her husband; Jan and David were inseparable. They remodeled there home together through many projects over the years, spending much time together. She was also, a full time mother to her daughter, Kelly; making sure she had all the love and support a mother could provide throughout Kelly's childhood. Janet will be greatly missed!
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, David Heintz; daughter, Kelly Jean (Mark) Dominick; grandson, Gavin Edward Dominick; brother, George Roy; sisters-in-law, Ann Arena, Marie Kolceski and Carol O'Brien; brother-in-law, Mark Wildrick (husband of deceased sister, Joyce); and several nieces and nephews.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Joyce Wildrick; brothers-in-law, Paul and Martin Heintz; and sister-in-law, Joan Hennsinger Allison.
Services will be private.
